Structural and RCC works

Foundations, columns, beams and slabs executed to the structural engineer's drawings — with cube tests, bar-bending schedules and curing records kept for every pour.

OVERVIEW

The part of the building nobody sees and everybody depends on

Finishes can be redone. A structure cannot. That is why our RCC work is run as a controlled process rather than a trade: the drawing is checked before steel is cut, the formwork is inspected before concrete is ordered, and every pour leaves a record.

We take on the structural frame for new buildings, structural repairs and strengthening for existing ones, and steel structures for sheds and industrial roofs.

SCOPE

What we build

  • Foundations

Isolated and combined footings, raft foundations and pile caps built to the soil report and the engineer's design.

  • Columns, beams and slabs

The RCC frame, staircases and lintels — cast to the bar-bending schedule with cover blocks and checked reinforcement.

  • Formwork and steel

Plywood or steel shuttering aligned and plumbed, and reinforcement cut, bent and tied to the schedule.

  • Concrete quality control

Slump tests on every truck, cube samples for every pour, and a curing log you can inspect.

  • Repairs and retrofitting

Jacketing, crack injection, corrosion repair and strengthening for older or damaged structures.

  • Steel structures

Fabricated steel columns, trusses and purlins for sheds, warehouses and rooftop structures.

QUALITY CONTROL

How a pour is controlled

The same five checks before every slab, beam or footing.

  1. 01

    Drawing and schedule check

Reinforcement is cut and bent to a bar-bending schedule prepared from the structural drawing and checked before tying.

  2. 02

    Formwork inspection

Line, level, plumb, props and cover blocks are inspected by the site engineer and signed off before concrete is ordered.

  3. 03

    Concrete verification

Delivery tickets checked against the specified grade; a slump test on every truck before it is accepted.

  4. 04

    Cube sampling

Test cubes cast for every pour, labelled, cured and sent for testing; results filed with the weekly report.

  5. 05

    Curing and de-shuttering

Curing logged daily; formwork removed only after the period set by the engineer, never to suit the programme.

Questions about structural work

Do you design the structure as well?

Structural design is done by a licensed structural engineer — yours or one we introduce — and we build to their drawings. Keeping design and execution separate is part of how the work stays honest.

Can you take over a half-built structure?

Often, yes. We start with a structural assessment of what exists — including testing where records are missing — and only then quote for completing it.

What records do I get?

Bar-bending schedules, pour records, slump and cube test results, curing logs and stage photographs. They are filed with the weekly reports and handed over at completion.
